Bar Harbor, Maine, USA

Today was clear Immigration Day, time to present ourselves to CBP…  I was up very early for sail in trying for a shot of the Egg Rock Lighthouse. Even with the delay in the arrival of Customs and Border Protection, we were off on the first tender for Bar Harbor.  Bar Harbor is one of those coastal towns that is exactly what you imagine a coastal town in Maine to be; a picturesque coastal town with harbor views, beautiful BNBs, and all the lobster you can handle. We followed the shore path along the harbor front from the town pier along the bay overlooking the Atlantic Ocean to the Bar Harbor Inn with its the lovely, landscaped gardens…what stood out to us was the change in the garden from our last visit here in July 2022…fall is definitely upon us. The tide was low, so it allowed for some interesting photos. We walked up Main Street did some shopping and made a stopped at favorite, the Stadium Coffee Hound for treats!  We did some browsing, took in some sites and decided to return to the ship as the streets were getting quite crowded with two ships in today.  I liked that the ship used the port tenders today as the boat had open decks...  Great for photos! Another great day in Bar Harbor and we will be back in two days.
