I
was up at sunrise to get my sail in photos, Curaçao is such a beautiful place.
Then I got off the ship as soon as we docked and toured the Otrobanda
neighborhood searching for wall art, there are some great artists in Curaçao,
before heading to see my wonderful friends Aart and Ellen. In the meantime,
Aart and Ellen picked Ann and Cathy up at the ship and while showing them the
Otrobanda section they came upon me. I hopped in with them and we went to the
Van Essen’s condo to catch up as it has been almost three years since we had
been altogether. It was a great reunion, wonderful hospitality and a
celebration of friends!!! Around noon they took us to lunch to celebrate
Cathy’s Birthday at a wonderful place near Mambo Beach, Hemingway’s at the Lions
Dive Beach Resort. After a great lunch, Aart drove us back to their home.
It was an absolutely fabulous day…. Aart gave us a ride to the ship and then
three of us walked back to the ship, looking into a few shops along the way…. We
will be back in Curaçao on March 24, 2022 and are really hoping Aart &
Ellen will have returned from Holland and we will be able to see them again.
Curaçao is a wonderful place to visit! I went out for our sail away from Curaçao. We had a bit of a shower which brought us a
lucky rainbow… Tonight, we were off to the Tamarind with the
Hotze’s, Lyle’s, Smith’s for a birthday dinner celebration for Cathy…. Great dinner celebration! What a fabulous day!
