A new adventure awaits...

 Well, I'm home now and there's not a lot of time to sit back and relax.  A month from today we are off to Europe on the Zuiderdam for our next cruising adventure.  Looking forward to joining the Zuiderdam for another European adventure...  Packing is coming soon!

Half Moon Cay, The Bahamas...

Well, the day has finally come…  Our last port of call in Half Moon Cay on this wonderful journey shared between the Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam.  What an amazing voyage is has been, beginning last September in Quebec City, soaking up all the Fall Colors before transitioning to a wonderful Fall, Winter and into Spring in the Caribbean.  There are countless people who made such a difference to Ann, Cathy and me along the way.  I will always remember this time fondly and will never forget the new friends we made along the way and old friends that we continue to cherish.  Tomorrow, I wing my way home to take care of a few things, not the least of which is packing for our next European adventure on the Zuiderdam beginning May 12th.  stay tuned!

Charlotte Amalie, Saint Thomas, USVI

We spent the morning in the Retreat… I was a bit leery about heading into Charlotte Amalie because of the weather forecast.  The weather forecast called for rain so going ashore was put aside... The rain did materialize and we were happy that we stayed in the Retreat. I took pictures throughout the day and captured our farewell sail away from Charlotte Amalie for this winter season. After the rain, the weather turned around and the remainder of the day was beautiful in Saint Thomas. Tonight, we are having dinner in Rudy’s Sel de Mer with our friend Claes. Tomorrow, I will start packing to go home.  It’s been a wonderful time on Holland America Line…  Hard to believe it all started last September…  Time flies!
