Fort Lauderdale, Florida....

Our last turn around day in Fort Lauderdale….the immigration process was quite smooth even though there was a smattering of inconsiderate passengers took their time appearing from their hiding spots… Back onboard, we went to the Retreat for the day, hanging out with our friends Becky & Tyler. Being docked behind the Celebrity Apex we were nearly an hour late leaving but I hung in and go some sail away photos. It was probably the hottest day we have had in Fort Lauderdale…the mid 90’s with the humidity starting to climb. This is our last Caribbean cruise of the season, so it is time to button up the loose ends and prepare to go home for a few weeks.  It was sad to see our friends Judy & RenĂ© leave but it was very nice greeting our friend Mustafa back onboard after his vacation.  It’s hard to believe that this part of our voyages is coming to a close but May 12th we sail to Europe…  Life is good!  The other thing that is hard to believe is that this is my 49th cruise since the COVID Restart…  Time flies.

  1. Jeff,

Thanks again for all your blog postings that help get us through the winter. The Dogwood trees are now blooming in the Mid-Atlantic states, so I think it’s safe for Tan Man to head north. Wow, 49th cruise since COVID Restart! Time flies indeed! Can’t imagine how many cruises you’ve had since we met when my wife and I were on a 30-day segment of your World Cruise back in 2010. Just this week a friend told me he and his wife were leaving on a four-month World Cruise in January 2024. It’s with Viking which was news to me Viking did a World Cruise. Looking forward to reading about your new adventure starting May 12. Bill, NC
