This morning we had torrential rains in Fort Lauderdale…no sail in photos but I did capture a few shots in the pouring rain. Today, was moving day from the Zuiderdam to the Rotterdam… Our move from one ship to the other was just perfection! As a result, we want to give a special thanks to Henk Mensink, Hotel General Manager; Catherine Chua, Event Coordinator; Maja Milanoska, Guest Relations Manager; Shiv Charan, Executive Housekeeper and Made Putra, Assistant Executive Housekeeper and his team for the wonderful assistance they gave us in making our transfer a seamless operation like a well-oiled machine… What a class act! We spent the afternoon unpacking, getting acquainted with the ship and meeting cruise friends and staff. It was a great reunion with Leslie & Handler, John & Diane and Ginny & Rich. Another great surprise was to meet George, our former waiter from the 2014 World Cruise. The skies cleared for sail away photos and a beautiful sunset. Following dinner, we watched the Super Bowl on the big screen in the World Stage…. Now we begin a whole new phase of our cruising adventure, new ship and new itineraries …. Bring on the Caribbean!
Jeff, thank goodness all went smoothly for your transfer...Maybe that is an omen and the next few months will be uneventful as far as glitches go.
