A beautiful day sunny day to explore the town of St.
Pierre. St. Pierre et Miquelon is a group of small French Islands in the North
Atlantic Ocean just 16 miles south west of the Canadian province of
Newfoundland and Labrador. We opted to explore the town on foot by following
the harbor to Cannons Point to visit the Lighthouse. Next we visited Joffre
Square to see the Sailor Monument, General De Gauleiters Square, St. Pierre Cathedral,
Calvaire or Christ on the Cross overlooking the town and port of St. Pierre and
the war memorial. Within a few hours we had seen all that St. Pierre had to
offer.
