Philipsburg, Sint Maarten...

I was out early getting photos before all the ships were in.  They just kept coming and coming!   It was our plan to wait till the crowds died down to get off the ship…this plan backfired as the Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas was docking at the same time…so our disembarkation was halted for a while until the RCL ship was secured. We walked to town was along the beach promenade returning to the ship via the downtown shopping street. It was another busy day in Sint Maarten with 7 ships in port, so we did our walk and returned to the ship by 11am. My favorite ship was the Stad Amsterdam, a lovely sailing ship with only about 28 guests onboard.  I’m sure that’s a fabulous ship to sail around the Caribbean.  The port area was a sea of people…more than 20,000 passengers invaded Sint Maarten today. We spent the remainder of the afternoon in the Retreat. It was a very hot day in Sint Maarten.  I went out as we moved off the dock to capture Sint Maarten as was sailed away…
