Fort Lauderdale, Florida... Family Reunion!

Well, I’ve been waiting many months for this day to arrive…  My sister Lisa and her husband Jim are joining me for the first time on a cruise.  It was a bit sad to leave such wonderful friends on the Rotterdam but it also feels really good to rejoining treasured friends onboard the Nieuw Statendam.  We transferred over this morning facilitated by our wonderful staff from the Rotterdam, Yvonne and Arnold, both of which will be sorely missed.  Once we boarded the ship, we took a tour of the ship, showing them around, including their Cabana in the Retreat…  We went our to see the sail away from the port of Fort Lauderdale, leaving the Rotterdam behind.  Tonight, we had a wonderful dinner in the Dining Room and settled in for a night of music entertainment.  Tomorrow, we visit Half Moon Cay…  Looking forward to our Villa.
