Day 2 At Sea

Today was a very chilly day….  I stayed bundled up for most of the day.  I spent a lot of time testing to see if the internet was working.  The technicians onboard have made a lot of progress but I think work still remains.  As promised, I have included a couple of photos of the results of the refurbishments onboard the ms Amsterdam.  The cabin pictured is not mine…  with about 10 suitcases scattered about, it didn’t present a good picture.  The ship, everywhere you look, is very nice.

  1. Ship looks great as you know Em's back says there's many things slightly different , including her job changing. All the techs are going crazy getting bugs out .
Hope you have an awesome trip we know the pictures will be just fabulous
    take care

  2. Hi Jeff! First...love your blog! Your photos are the absolute best, particularly flowers, gardens, animals & people. Cheryl and I were on the 2012 & 2013 WC with you...we have a family wedding to attend in March so we'll miss the 2014, but plan to rejoin the Amsterdam in September for the Grand Asia. I have a World Voyage website (bcampau.com) and since we were in so many places together the past two years, I'd like to use some of your photos to better help describe/depict some of the ports we've been to. If you give me permission, I'll post a disclaimer on my home page with commentary about your more extensive world travels, and will also display a direct link to your blog. Please let me know. In advance, thanks and I really appreciate it! The remodeling looks great - wish we were joining you in January - it just won't be the same - we miss our home-away-from-home! Merry Christmas!

  5. Thanks for stopping by this afternoon on your way back from the zoo. It is always good to see you and chat. Everything went well until the end of the day (as it usually does) and then we had 2 families with children that didn't have current passports. The parents assumed that the kid's ones were expiring at the same time as mom and dad's. US passports for juveniles expire in 5 years and not 10.
Since it is the weekend now, those folks will have to join up with you in Guatemala, nearly a week from now. That wasn't how I wanted to end my day. On the bright side, all of the missing luggage from was found (11 bags) and loaded onboard.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
    David
