Puerto Vallarta, Mexico....

Today, we did something different from walking along the waterfront. Of course, the beaches are gorgeous but we decided to break up the day and go to the backstreets of the city beyond the well-trodden Malecon. I hope you enjoy the street art photos…there’s some serious talent behind this Mexican street art. We stopped at the Cathedral and before walking to the Malecon. Luckily, we arrived in time to catch a performance by the Flying bird-men of Papantla or the Pole Flyers. Since last week’s visit to the Malecon, many small wooden structures are being constructed to serve as kiosks for crafts, food, etc.…not an appealing look. On our return taxi ride to the cruise port, we had to the driver stop at the creative mural of Einstein that we have been trying to capture for weeks. Spent the afternoon in the retreat…Another glorious day in Puerto Vallarta. Loving every day!!!!

  1. Pictures of the street art as always is just amazing. What also caught my eye was the picture with the Woolworth store in it. We had those in Ohio when I was growing up but they have been gone for many years. Thank you for taking these wonderful pictures so that we can follow along on your travels. Wishing you and the Scott sisters a very Merry Christmas and safe travels.
