Mazatlán, Mexico...

I was up early for a lovely smoky, hazy sail into Mazatlán.   We were berthed right behind the ship, The World.  At 8:00, Cathy and I took the shuttle to the terminal and walked the Blue Line to Machado Square. From the Square, we made our way to the Malecon and we were lucky to have one of the Cliff Divers do a special dive for us. It’s amazing what you can get if you pay enough… We stopped for a drink at El Shrimp Bucket and hit the road again.  Meandering through Old Mazatlán, we went downtown, visited the Cathedral and returned to the ship via the Blue Line. With the rise in COVID infections we are not letting our guard down…we wore our masks and kept our distance. The weather today was beautiful, we spent the remainder of the day in the Retreat, away from the maddening crowds. Another wonderful day aboard the Koningsdam…
