Cathy and I got off the ship early and toured the San Diego waterfront from the Maritime Museum to Seaport Village…the weather in San Diego was simply beautiful. Today, the embarkation process was great and we had no problem whatsoever returning to the ship. Congratulations to the entire Shore Operations team for a job well done. Once back to the ship it was time for the Retreat…. Loving this sunny weather! I went out for sail away as we bid a fond farewell to San Diego for another week…. Loving every day here on the Koningsdam…
Jeff, I have seen the V-J Day Statue of the famous kiss in Times Square between the sailor and nurse featured in a few ports including Italy. I found it interesting that is appears outside of the U.S.A.
