Mazatlán, Mexico....

We left the ship as soon as it was cleared and followed the “Blue Line” through the historic old district of Mazatlán to the Machado Square to meet Martin, our Pulmonia driver from last week. Today, Martin took us on a different route in Old Mazatlán looking for older buildings and wall art. The streets are filled with rebuilt homes among ruins; businesses in tiny store fronts mixed with stores; street food and high-end restaurants! It is a very interesting place to meander through. On the opposite spectrum, we made our way to the Golden Zone, the new part Mazatlán’ waterfront boardwalk known as the Malecon. Returning to the old section of the city, we climbed the El Mirador with its pretty view, some local vendors and a restaurant at the top. Our timing was off today as we were not able to catch the cliff divers performing on our way back to the ship. We spent the afternoon relaxing in the Retreat.  Another spectacular day…
