Ensenada, Mexico...

The early morning sail into Ensenada was hazy as usual due to fires that seem to always be burning.  Probably cooking fires are clearing fields.  The nice part was the sky was blue and the weather spectacular. Since this was our last trip to Ensenada, our main purpose today was to do computer updates at McDonald’s. As we did on our previous trip, we got off the ship just after arrival and walked to town to use McDonald’s fast WIFI…mission accomplished! We then perused the shopping street and made our way to the Malecon.  It was nice to see that the Mexican Flag was flying once again.  On our previous visits it was noticeably absent. could be that giant flagpole with nothing flying.  They have a huge flag here in Ensenada, 164 feet long and 92 feet wide.  It really can be seen from all corners of the city.  It was a really beautiful day to visit the local fish market and take in the sites of Ensenada’s waterfront board walk. Around noon, we returned to the ship and spent the afternoon in the Retreat…another glorious day in Mexico….  Loving every day here on the Koningsdam.  Tomorrow we wrap un another voyage and begin a cruise of the Mexican Rivera.  We will repeat this weekly until we change ships, moving over to the Zuiderdam on January 2nd…  We are looking forward to sunny skies and smooth seas in the days ahead.
