Half Moon Cay, The Bahamas...

Well, it wasn’t the kind of finish that I would have liked after about 4 months on the Nieuw Statendam but you can’t control the weather…  Our last port of call, Half Moon Cay was a bit on the wet side today.  The sun was out for a while but not enough.  In the end, we couldn’t finish our lunch fast enough in the Retreat to get out of the downpouring rain.  It’s been a quite a wonderful experience here on the Nieuw Statendam, we met a lot of wonderful Officers and Crew and guests along the way.  Our start in Canada & New England was spectacular and our transition to the Caribbean was fabulous.  I can’t thank the Team on the Nieuw Statendam enough for their gracious hospitality for these past 4 months… It was fitting that we were joined in our visit to Half Moon Cay by the Rotterdam, our new home for 63 days starting tomorrow.  Looking forward to new adventures and experiences going forward…
