Well, we continued to sail to Manaus this morning…. Here are a few photos along the way and on
our arrival in Manaus. For those
wondering about the photo with the splotchy looking water, that is what is referred
to as “the meeting of the waters”. This
is where the dark water of the Rio Negro meets the creamy colored Rio Solimoes. Because of differences in speed, temperature
and density, the waters don’t mix well.
They can flow side by side for several miles…. Anyway, we are now in Manaus… loved the beautiful scenic journey!!!!
