We left Prague headed for Krakow, Poland with a short
stop in Olomouc, Czech Republic. Olomouc is a UNESCO World Heritage Site...our driver
Martin dropped us and we walked to the town square to see the 18th-century Holy
Trinity Column, a monument adorned with religious sculptures and several
baroque fountains...unfortunately for us, both St. Moritz Cathedral, Town Hall
and Astronomical Clock were under renovation and shroud in scaffolding. Next,
we drove to the outskirts of the city up a large hill to Olomouc Svaty Kopecek
and Bishops Palace...the Basilica overlooks Olomouc in the distance. From here
we drove to Krakow…. As you may have
noticed, I am a bit behind in my postings, the product of doing so much every
day and a shortage of sleep…. I will
catch up, in time.
