Our border crossing experience was uneventful crossing
into Serbia...except I am getting way too many new stamps in my passport. We
had a lovely drive to Serbia and checked into the hotel. It was sad to say goodbye to Angel, what a great driver… We wish we would have had him for the entire
journey. I would certainly recommend
Traventuria, www.traventuria.bg .... We walked to the downtown pedestrian mall and
into the Kalemegdan Park. It was quite hot in Belgrade at 37C, a big change
from the weather we have been used to in recent times…. Not to leave any stone
unturned we hiked across the Branko’s Bridge to the of the Sava River where it
merges with Danube River for some sunset and nighttime shots of the Kalemegdan Fortress...we
lucked out and got a waterfront table on a floating restaurant directly across
from the Fortress...our only problem was the mosquito invasion...things you do
for the blog!
