Another hot and humid day in the Amazon… Loving this hot, sunny weather! The heat index today, before I came in was about
104 degrees Fahrenheit… It’s just a
lovely sail, making our way back toward Macapá to offload our river pilots…
Unfortunately, that will happen right around sunset/dinner time, so I’ll
forgo those photos. We won’t be out of
the Amazon River until tomorrow around sunrise.
Anyway, our visit to the Amazon has been grand, much thanks to Captain
Arne Smit and HGM Florin Dragomir for making the whole thing possible. They faced huge challenges and were certainly
up to the task. Now we’re off the Devil’s
Island….
