Zuiderdam MegaVoyage 2018-2019, Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

Today was a beautiful day for Half Moon Cay….  As usual, Ian & I hunkered down in the Retreat.  It got a little exciting in the afternoon, the US Coastguard was called upon to air evac one of the guests.  They came in, did a land transfer to the helicopter and off they went…  Hats off to the USCG, great job!!!!

  1. Hi jeff, Hope your jaw is healing. You can always add a little rum to your coke.
So happy to see the weather has been good and you're enjoying the Retreat. Glad the Zuiderdam continues to meet your expectations.
Crazy weather Statesside. Finally warmed to 40 beats -15F but cooling off again tomorrow. Groundhog promised an Early spring and I'm holding him to it.
Thanks for all the pictures, I agree the Canal is never boring.
Hope you're on the mend and the sunshine continues to follow you.

  2. Hi, Jeff.....
Yes, every day is great.....but, wondering if the ever-repeating ports/canal "ground hog" days get old? Guess I would ask, would you book the same repeating stops again next year? In FLL, maybe jump on a different ship to go to an island or some place new for a change of scenery? Or, maybe leave the ship at some port, and then get back aboard when the ship returns to the same spot. Just an opinion. Have a great time!!!

  3. Jeff...
What a life !! When you are booking these huge extended cruises...are you able to stay in your same cabin...or are you having to move sometimes ???
