Koningsdam adventure, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico...

Sailing to Cabo San Lucas by cruise ship is indeed a magnificent experience, the vibrant colors of the water, the rugged cliffs, and the iconic El Arco rock formation, which marks the entrance to the harbor. While out on the deck taking photos this morning, I heard an announcement by Captain Arno Jutten recognizing my 10 years (3650 days) of sailing with Holland America Line…I was absolutely shocked by this acknowledgment. It was a very kind gesture which isn’t surprising coming from my Holland America Line family.  It really made my day!!!  Cathy and I got off the ship on the first tender and spent an hour or two walking around the harbor area, where you can enjoy views of the yachts and boats, pelicans and a glimpse of a sea lion diving under the dock. It was very busy and crowded ashore with three ships in port. We returned to the ship and spent the afternoon in the sun…weather was spectacular. Another great day!  Loving every day here on the Koningsdam….  Tonight, I have been invited to a special dinner in my honor and am looking forward to a fabulous evening with wonderful friends, great food and lots of laughter… A family dinner
