It was a sad day today as we arrived at Fort Lauderdale, Leslie & Handler left the ship, heading back to Texas…. They will be missed! Our friends Fred & Georgette left as well, moving over to the Nieuw Statendam. We hung out in the Retreat today and enjoyed the time…. We had the place to ourselves. Sail away was interesting, we were about an hour later than expected. We had to have the Celebrity Edge leave first and they just weren’t moving. Finally, they backed out and moved over to another berth, freeing us up to leave. Not quite sure what their problem is but just glad I’m on the Rotterdam…. Saw some old friends tonight, Nuno and Nidia, the Future Cruise Consultants…. Great folks! We are very excited to see them again…. Sitting in BB King’s listening to some great music while I type…. Life is good! So, this is our week with a slight bump in the road. Our cruise ends after 4 days, we will have to leave the ship for 3 days in a hotel in Fort Lauderdale…. Holland America will be wining and dining folks from the travel industry to show off their new flagship!!! I hope it’s a great success…. This cruise has only 2 stops in the Bahamas, Half Moon Cay and Bimini…. Sounds like a good time to sit back with a cold Diet Coke and soak up some rays.
