The big day finally arrived, we are beginning the 2020 Grand South
America & Antarctica voyage….. I had
a wonderful reception by Stein Kruse, CEO Holland America Group, Orlando
Ashford. President, Holland America Line, Captain Frank Van Der Hoeven and
Gerald Bernhoft, Director, Holland America Line Mariner Society. Great reception followed by a luncheon for
the members of the President’s Club (over 1400 sailing days). It was nice seeing old friends as people gathered
for our Bon Voyage party…. It was also nice to see Holland America Line's Master Chef and Culinary Council Chairman, Rudi Sodamin..... Great start
to this Grand Voyage!
Bon Voyage Jeff. Lookslike you are off to a wonderful start to this adventure. From the looks of M/S Volendam you shouldn't have any trouble getting your daily walking mileage achieved. Thanks for the pictures, sadly I missed your deparature on the cams. Have a fabulous time.
