Another day, another port…. This time, we visited Basseterre, St. Kitts for a fairly short stay, 8:00 to 12:30. I have always liked St. Kitts… met some wonderful people here on past trips. Today, I went ashore, got in a nice 5+ mile walk and enjoyed the city and its people. I spent quite a while on the shore, watching a fisherman clean his catch and throw the scraps toward the pelicans…. Great to watch! Occasionally, a frigate bird would swoop in to try his luck. The best news of all was, no rain today!!!! I spent the remainder of the day, once onboard, in the Retreat, relaxing and reading…. Loving this ship!!!!
