Zuiderdam MegaVoyage 2018-2019, Fort-De-France, Martinique

Felt like old times today….  Martinique was one of my regular stops last year.  Today, it was going to be as close to a ghost town as you can find.  It is New Year’s Day and all the revelers are still in bed!  Great scenic sail into port with wonderful weather.  I got off the ship first tings and scurried all overtown looking for scenic shots and getting some serious walking done.  I really enjoyed the peace andtranquility of the ghost town.  The only people out and about seem to be the homeless.  Once I completed my tour of Fort-De-France, I wandered back to the ship and found a nice lounge chair.  We completed the day, after departure, with some scenic cruising along the coast toward Mt Pelee…..  Mt Pelee is the last mountain shown, unfortunately shrouded in clouds….  It was a wonderful New Year’s Day….
