2025_26 Oosterdam, Salaverry, Peru...

On this current 17-day cruise, my plan is to stay onboard and relax in the sun…  Today was another spectacular day on achieving that plan.  I did decide to snap some photos of a place I’ve always enjoyed, Salaverry.  The Port of Salaverry is a major seaport on the northern coast of Peru, located near the city of Trujillo. It serves as a key hub for maritime trade in the La Libertad region, supporting both exports and imports. The port primarily handles bulk cargo such as agricultural products, fertilizers, and minerals. In recent years, it has undergone modernization under the management of Salaverry Terminal Internacional to improve efficiency and capacity. Its strategic location along the Pacific coast makes it an important link between northern Peru and international shipping routes.  Today, it was my retreat…  After all the months of traveling from Europe, South America & Antarctica, it feels good to just take time for me to just relax…  The sail away was just lovely!  Loving every day!
