After sailing through the Beagle Channel we arrived at Ushuaia. Ushuaia, Argentina is located at the southern tip of South America on the Beagle Channel, known as the "southernmost city in the world". It's a major gateway port for Antarctic cruises, offering access to Tierra del Fuego National Park for hiking, wildlife viewing and winter sports. Founded as a penal colony, Ushuaia grew into a naval base and is now a vibrant town and significant tourist destination. We arrived early but things held us back a bit. We were delayed docking until another shop left the pier so I was able to capture photos of Ushuaia from the outside decks. We decided to venture off the ship to take some photos. Unfortunately, the heavens opened, we did some shopping and came back to the ship. Heading to Cape Horn and the Drake Passage…stay tuned!
