I arrived out on the forward deck’s way to early this morning, saw the sunrise but it became apparent, very quickly, that Sydney wouldn’t be in sight for another hour or hour and a half…. I was excited, I was getting together with a friend of mine, Laura who’s a local. The sail into Sydney, as usual, was lovely. Once we docked, I hooked up with Laura and off we went to St Peter’s. It was a lovely drive, with lush vegetation along the way. Once we arrived, we went to see the canal in St. Peters. Walking along the canal's pathways, I was captivated by the vibrant colors and gentle sounds of nature that surrounded me. The iconic lighthouse nearby stood as a sentinel, guiding boats through the calm waters and offering stunning panoramic views of the coastline. The quaint charm, paired with the salty breeze was lovely. A visit to Our Lady of Guadalupe provided a deeper cultural experience, as the church’s stunning architecture and peaceful ambiance invited quiet reflection and admiration. Together, these landmarks made the visit to St Peter’s, an interesting experience. We had a nice lunch before heading back to the ship. Really enjoyed the day with Laura, great to see her again…. Tomorrow, we are in Halifax, and the ship is tendering…. Think I’ll take a day for myself onboard.
