Well, my long-awaited cruise on the Koningsdam is finally here… Sadly, my friends Ann & Cathy had to delay their arrival to clear up some issues back home. I spent a wonderful couple of days strolling around the waterfront areas. Three years ago, I cut the ribbon to open the Koningsdam for the return to service post the COVID pandemic… It’s great to be back! Cruising out of San Diego, California, offers an unforgettable experience set against a backdrop of stunning coastal scenery and vibrant city life. The port, nestled between the picturesque waterfront and the towering skyline, serves as a gateway to various enchanting destinations such as Mexico's Baja Peninsula and the captivating islands of the Pacific. Passengers can enjoy a blend of modern amenities and classic maritime charm onboard luxurious cruise ships while taking in the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Before setting sail, travelers often explore San Diego's rich cultural offerings, including its historic Gaslamp Quarter, beautiful Balboa Park, and renowned beaches. With year-round pleasant weather, San Diego is a favorite port of call for cruising enthusiasts, offering endless opportunities for adventure and relaxation. There is always something to do, see and experience in San Diego… Today, it was enough to get back onboard and get my unpacking done. They have been very gracious here, welcoming us onboard and it feels like being part of a family again. My friends Leslie and Handler are onboard for a week and it’s great seeing them again. As for the crew, they just couldn’t have been more welcoming... Tomorrow morning it will be up in the wee hours of the morning to go ashore on Catalina Island, a place I have enjoyed on numerous occasions…
Looks like your back in the saddle, nice blog!!
