Koningsdam adventure, Avalon, Catalina Island, California...

Avalon, Catalina Island, is a charming coastal town known for its stunning landscapes and vibrant atmosphere. Located just 22 miles off the California coast, Avalon boasts beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a picturesque harbor that attracts visitors year-round. The town's colorful buildings line the waterfront, offering a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions. One of my favorite landmarks is the Casino. The iconic Catalina Island Casino, located at the heart of Avalon, serves as a cultural hub, featuring a theater, ballroom, and a museum showcasing the island's rich history.  I went ashore very early to have a walkabout, through town, down to the Casino and further down the beach to Decanso Beach Resort… It was a beautiful day…  I even did a bit of shopping before heading back for a relaxing day of sunshine and reading…
