Fabulous day today in Willemstad, Curacao…. We had a very busy, fun filled day planned today! I left the ship first thing…. in the rain, to get in some walking and to take some photos before heading over to Aart & Ellen’s house. I was going to get their early, get updates done on my electronic gear before Ellen & I were to pick up Ann, Cathy & Ian to go to the Carnival. Since it was pouring down rain I was a bit skeptical but the weather gods were with us and the rain was soon replaced with sunshine…. Ellen, Ann, Cathy, Ian and I drove to somewhere near the start of the Carnival parade, or at least we thought…. About 2 or 3 miles walking along the prospective parade route got us to the starting point. It was fun seeing all the costumes and hearing all the music, the party was just getting started! We eventually walked back to the car, another 2-3 miles and headed back to the house. After visiting for a while, we headed back to the ship to get cleaned up for our guests…. Aart & Ellen were joining us for dinner in the Pinnacle Grill. It was, as usual, a perfect dinner; great food, cooked to perfection and wonderful service…. It was the perfect way to cap off a great day in Curacao with very special friends….
