Day 28 The road to Gallup
Today was pretty much scheduled as a traveling day. Our goal now is to get to Los Lunas where my friend Jan lives by Friday. Saturday is the start of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta which we plan on attending. So, today was pretty open... Once on the road we looked for possibilities and came up with Hovenweep National Monument, to see ancient ruins. The visit was certainly worth it, the park is great. We then headed to the Four Corners Monument so I could get a cheesy photo taken standing in 4 states at once. Then we headed to Shiprock to surprise Brad's daughter with a visit... surprise was ours when we found that she wasn't there. Then it was off to Gallup for the night with a couple of chores along the way. We both got haircuts and we went to a Laundromat to do laundry. It was my first time in a Laundromat since the early 70s.... Nice day!
