Day 16 Bryce Canyon
Brad & I planned to hike around Bryce Canyon today to get views below the rim. We started out at Sunset Point, walked the rim to Sunrise Point and then went into the canyon. We hiked for about 6 hours, some of which was during a thunderstorm which made the mile walk back up out of the canyon to Bryce Point almost impossible. The mud was so slick and slippery and caked our hiking shoes to the point that they felt like they weighed 20 pounds.... We made the trek safely and did get some magnificent views. A cold diet coke sure tasted good at the end of this adventure...
