Day 23 Colorado National Monument & The Black Canyon of the Gunnison
Today was a very busy day.... We left Moab around 5:15 am and headed to the Colorado National Monument. The drive was mostly in the dark but the early departure was indeed worth it. The Colorado national Monument is a beautiful place. We drove the entire rim road up and back taking in all the scenery... Around 11:15 am we headed for the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Unquestionably, the Black Canyon is truly magnificent. Unfortunately, it is such a deep canyon, there is no way I could do it justice with photography. It is best viewed with one's own eyes.... Both places were amazing and made for a great day. Tomorrow we will take a scenic drive and end up in Farmington, NM. We will go through Ouray, Silverton and Durango,,, should be lovely.
