Arrived at the Port of Oranjestad Aruba on a beautiful warm sunny day. Aruba is a busy port so we decided to get off early to explore the local sites. Ann, Cathy and I left the ship and walked along the waterfront boardwalk to the Queen Willemena Park looking for iguanas that I had spotted in abundance on my last visit. Adjacent to the park is the Renaissance Marina Resort where we stopped for shopping, some internet time and drinks. The ladies were making a stop at the casino so I continued on my walk along the waterfront where I found pelicans and many iguanas to photograph. Following a lovely afternoon in the Retreat we had dinner reservations at the Sel de Mer restaurant followed by a Mariner cocktail party which was hosted by Captain Boland, another day in paradise.
