Day 74 Victoria, Seychelles

It was a pretty overcast sky as we sailed into Victoria harbor…..  There was a threat of rain but we hoped to make the most of our short visit shore side.  We arrived around 3:00 in the afternoon and Ian, Carole, Ann & Cathy decided to get a taxi and go to the Mont Fleuri Botanical Gardens.  We hooked up with a taxi driver named Leon who agreed to take us and also pick us up tomorrow morning for an island tour.  The gardens, as usual, were fabulous but it was so humid sweat was just pouring off us.  It was an enjoyable visit, especially with the giant tortoises.  We came back to the ship and all got together for a Creole Barbeque which was magnificent followed by entertainment by Debby Bacon under the stars on the aft deck.  What a magnificent day!  I just hope the weather holds for tomorrow, it is such a beautiful island and I would like my friends to see it (sans rain).
