2025_26 Oosterdam, Stanley, Falkland Islands...

Merry Christmas to all my family and friends from the Falkland Islands. I was out early this morning for sail in but the wind was so fierce it was difficult to take photos. We took the first tender to town and met our Guide David for our second adventure on this cruise to Volunteer Point to see the penguins. After an hour we left the paved road for another 1.5 hours of an off-road driving experience over hill and dale until we reached Volunteer Point. We arrived early before the crowds and were the only people at the colony…It was a perfect day to enjoy the wildlife! Although it was windy the rain held off until we were leaving the reserve. What a great way to spend Christmas Day…
