Good morning from Charlotte Bay on the Antarctic Peninsula. The bay was discovered by Adrien de Gerlache on a Belgian Antarctic Expedition and named after Charlotte Dumeiz, his second in command officer’s fiancĂ©. Charlotte Bay is part of the Danko Coast and is fed by a number of the glaciers. A sunny, windless day in Antarctica is a precious thing and that's exactly what we experienced here this morning. We passed through endlessly magnificent scenery and breathtaking reflections…To say the morning was magical would be an understatement. The weather was perfect, the water calm and I’m running out of words to describe it all. Later this afternoon we will be at Cuverville Island. Loving the Antarctic…
