Day 39 At Sea

What can I say?  Another great day at sea…..  Tonight, within about an hour we cross the equator so, as you can imagine, it is pretty toasty out in the sun.  Tomorrow morning we arrive at our first port in Brazil, Belem.  Well, actually we don’t arrive in Belem but in Icoaraci, down the river a bit.  It will be a tender port with a tender ride of about 30 minutes and a shuttle ride of 60-90 minutes into Belem.  In Belem, my main focus will be on the Ver-O-Peso Market and the surrounding colonial architecture.  It should be a good day…  I will be heading into town with Ed, Becky, Allan &  Sandra.  I will be getting up at 5:00 am to catch the sunrise as we sail in…..
