Another great sail in into Ringaskiddy. We passed Spike Island, a former 7th century monastic settlement, a fort in 18th century, and a prison in the 1920s, known as Ireland's Alcatraz and Ringaskiddy’s Martello Tower. On the westside of Cork Harbor and south of Cobh lies Ringaskiddy. Formerly a fishing village, that has recently developed as the world’s largest deep water ferry port in the world. The view passing Cobh was just as exciting as my first sail in 20 days ago. The view of Cohb is spectacular with the St. Coleman’s Cathedral as the backdrop to the colorful deck of cards homes. You would never tire of this view…
