Apparently, due to major dredging operations at the Suez Canal, they no longer give out time slots…. As a result we hung around today at anchor waiting for an opportunity to Transit. Finally, around 3:30, we began the transit. It was a shame it was so late in the day, I always love photographing the scenery along the way. I was able to catch a bit of the canal before sunset which was nice…. We will have a slow day at sea tomorrow as we await our arrival in Ashdod, Israel….

Happy Easter and enjoy the Passover period in Israel
ReplyDeleteShalom !
Hi Jeff: I am booked on a 2016 world cruise (my first, and probably only) ... have really enjoyed following your blog. Thx for all the great pictures! Love the people shots.
ReplyDeleteCaptain Jonathan reported that the assigned slot on the 4th would have made a day late in the Med. So he ran to the canal a day early and took pot luck. Finished the transit at 3:30 am on the 4th. Nice pictures.
