We were off and running this morning, despite Tonga being closed for Sunday….. We made arrangements the night before with a driver for the two days we are here. We basically drove around the island hitting the highlights like the Royal Palace, Royal Tombs, the Landing spot where Christianity first arrived into Tonga, the Blow Holes and the Ha’amonga Trilithon (Stonehenge like structure). As we explored the island we saw lots of people dressed in their Sunday best, lots of beautiful vegetation and a large assortment of animals…. Pigs mostly! Great day…. Tomorrow we will be off and running again, this time we can visit the markets…..
