No matter how many times that I have done the Panama Canal transit it still continues to capture my full attention. I told myself that today I would just kick back and relax as we sailed through the canal and just take a few photos but…… something went wrong with my plan. I took over 900 photos along the way, I just can’t help myself….. it really interests me a great deal. Anyway, here are several shots I took along the way as we transited the canal. By the way, I’ll be back through here in just a few weeks on the World Voyage…..

Hi Jeff, I have really been enjoying your blog, I will be joining the ship in Ft. Lauderdale on Jan 5th. Love your photos, I was wondering what kind of camera and lens are you using,it appears you have a narrow depth of field and I was wondering how you are accomplishing that.
ReplyDeleteJeff how is the new canal coming along? Did they say when it would be completed? I think it was scheduled for the 100th anniversary of the Panama Canal.
ReplyDeleteAs always thanks for the beautiful pictures.
And I will be right there taking endless photos too. I totally understand the fascination! See you soon!
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be making pretty good progress on the new locks, don't know the scheduled completion. My camera is a Nikon D7000 with a Nikkor 18 - 300mm lens.
