Larry, Carol & I decided to skip going to Ho Chi Minh City and visit VÅ©ng TÃ u. The city of VÅ©ng TÃ u, formally Cap Saint Jacques under the French occupation is a beach resort with a few sights of interest. It is located in the south of Vietnam, situated at the tip of a small peninsula. We hooked up a taxi and headed out along the countryside for the roughly hour drive to the city. First we stopped at the beach for a look. Next we went for a look at the 32 M high Jesus statue on top of Small Mountain. We then went up on top of the lower peak of Small Mountain to the VÅ©ng TÃ u Lighthouse where we got scenic views of the city. We then took a stop at boat bay to take photos of the boats and fishermen…. Very nice! Our final stop was at an absolutely amazing Buddhist Temple, the Phuoc Hue Trang Nghiem, near Phu My… simply incredible!!! After my return, it wasstraight to the pool… it was an incredibly hot day!!!

So colorful. Love the one with the man throwing the fishing net. Thank you!
