Day 25 Shanghai, People's Republic of China

Today I did a little something different for my first day in Shanghai….   I left the ship at 0600 with 6 other friends heading for the ancient city of Hangzhou.  “ In heaven, there is paradise, on earth, Suzhou & Hangzhou”.  I have been to Suzhou a couple of times so it was time to see Hangzhou.  It took a fair amount of time to get there by walking, taking the Metro, Train & buses….  It was quite the adventure.  You really need a fair amount of time to fully explore Hangzhou so we concentrated on visiting Lingyin Si and walking around West Lake.    It was a very nice visit.  After arriving back in Shanghai, we walked Nanjing Road for some shopping.  As we came to the end of the shopping street we headed for the Bund for some night time photography of this beautiful city,  What a magnificent day!!!!
