Day 145 Melbourne, Australia (Part 1 of 2)

Today was a wonderful day….  Nico Kramer joined Ann, Cathy & I for a tour of Melbourne.  We took a bus into town intent on going up to the Eureka Sky deck at 88 floors but we found out it didn’t open until 10:00.  We decided to pass the time we would go into the King’s Domain along with the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Shrine of Remembrance.  We had a great walk through the Domain and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the solemn experience at the Shrine of Remembrance.  We then headed to the 88th floor of the Eureka Building for the Observation Deck.  What great views of Melbourne and the Yarra River.  Then we headed into the city for some touring up Swanston Street, checking out some great architecture.  Our last stop was the Queen Victoria Market which was delightful.  Then it was time to head back to the ship.  Two trams later we had arrived back at the dock…..  Great day with some wonderful people.  So happy Nico decided to join us, what a nice man…..
