Day 53 Luganville, Vanuatu (Part 1 of 2)

We had a lovely sail into Luganville….  What a difference from my last visit when it was pouring rain, hot and sunny today.  I went ashore with Brad & John and we had decided to just walk around town and go to the markets…. We were going along having a fun time when a taxi driver asked us if we wanted to go to see a Blue Hole and beach so we said “Why not!”.  We hopped into the taxi and explore a bit of the island.  It is a very lush island with a lot of cattle ranching and coconut trees.  The Japanese are pretty big here along with a bit of activity by the Chinese.  We enjoyed our drive around and then headed to the markets.  The people here were very friendly and we enjoyed visiting with them.  After the market, we walked back to the ship with countless stops along the way for photos or chatting with the locals.  It turned out to be a pretty nice day…  as usual, my blog is in two parts…  this is part one.
