Day 30 Hong Kong

Today was another wonderful day in Hong Kong….  I went out again with Bruce, Sandi, Larry & Carol and headed for a new place that I have never visited, the Nan Lian Gardens and the adjacent Chi Lin Nunnery.  The gardens were simply magnificent!  It was a shame that so many of the paths & bridges were blocked off for entry but it was beautiful nonetheless…..  The nunnery was also very beautiful.  I especially enjoyed all the water gardens with the lotus flowers.  Next, we headed for Hong Kong, across the harbor from our ship in Kowloon.  We headed for the mid-level escalators and the street markets.  It was a nice little adventure.  We then headed back to the ship and relaxed a bit before sail away.  I enjoyed the sail out of Hong Kong harbor because the late day lighting was quite good.  It was overall a fabulous visit to Hong Kong.  I will return here in the spring during the World Voyage….
