2025 Volendam, Portland, Maine...

After a fabulous Koningstafel dinner last night, I still got up in the wee hours of the morning to photograph our arrival into Portland, Maine.   The Portland sail in is always nice and the lighthouses are impressive especially the Portland Head Lighthouse at Fort Williams Park. We also sailed by the Spring Point Ledge and Bug Light lighthouses. Before heading to the Portland Maine Mall to pick up my new iPhone we wandered along the cobblestone streets through this historic district. The old port area which features a scenic waterfront, some of the city's oldest buildings, warehouses, boutiques, and local restaurants. Next, we took a Uber to the Apple Store spending most of the day successfully setting up my new phone. We returned to the ship in time for sail away. Tomorrow, we have a well needed sea day enroute to New York before our crossing to the Mediterranean.
