I was out on the forward decks before sunrise this morning and it was pretty fresh… Our arrival into Charlottetown, PEI wasn’t until 10:00 but I went out before 6:00 anticipating some lighthouses along the way and the Confederation Bridge. I even brought out my new 180-600mm lens to complement my 18-300mm. It was a beautiful sail into the harbor of Charlottetown, albeit a bit cold at times. After 4 ours taking photos for the sail into our dock, I planned a quiet day. First, I tried backing up my iPhone, preparing for my new 17Pro which I pick up on 5 October, but that exercise was a bust… Just too much crap to back up without sufficient bandwidth… Next, I tried to update my Apple watch to OS 26 but that was a bust as well… The update is in excess of 2Gb. Oh well, I then decided to go out for a short walk. I looked in a few shops before walking to St. Dunstan's Basilica on Great George Street with its beautifully preserved Georgian architecture. Once I finished visiting the church, I made my way back to the waterfront, wandering about until I got in 5 miles… Good enough! Then it was back to the terminal to have another go at backups and update, again to no avail... Then it was back to the ship! Tomorrow, we are in Sydney, Cape Breton where I will get together with my friend Laura… Should be a fun day!
